How many years with Phoenix FC?
I’m brand new!
Credentials/Licenses (Degree, Coaching Licenses, Certifications, etc.)
I am a CONCACAF B Diploma Candidate and I am passionate about continuing education, with a focus on fostering diverse and inclusive environments and coaching practices to give all a better experience in sport.
Previous Soccer Playing experience (if any)
I grew up playing youth soccer for Hollandia Soccer Club in Saskatoon and finished my youth career in Grade 12 at Rosthern Junior College. These days, I still love getting friends together for pick-up games and can easily be convinced to join a game of walking soccer whenever I am back home visiting Saskatoon.
Why Phoenix FC? (What brought you here, what are your passions for the club)
I was immediately drawn to Sherwood Park Phoenix for its incredible reputation and holistic approach to athlete development. The club's clear focus on keeping girls in sport through female-specific programming and its commitment to a female coach mentorship program really stood out to me. Most importantly, it was the people—the leadership is fantastic, and everyone has been so friendly, welcoming, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. I'm excited to be part of a community that provides such a positive and comprehensive soccer journey for athletes of all playing levels.
Favourite soccer team?
I am a huge Vancouver Whitecaps fan!
Pineapple on pizza?
Absolutely!
Your hobby outside of soccer
Away from the pitch, I thrive on staying active. I'm often found on the golf course, discovering new hiking trails, or enjoying a brisk run. Weightlifting is another passion, and I can be found at the gym most days! Above all, my greatest joy comes from time spent with my three wonderful children, my amazing girlfriend, and her fantastic dog. They are my biggest cheerleaders when I’m coaching, and I'm often found cheering my kids on at rock climbing meets and basketball games, as well as cheering on my girlfriend and her dog at their disc competitions.
