PFC Technical
Plan
Phoenix FC is dedicated to fostering a comprehensive youth soccer development environment that aligns with the Long- Term Player Development Model (LTPDM). This plan emphasizes player agency, mental fitness, nutrition, athletic development, and social connection
Methodology +
Curriculum
Phoenix FC’s training methodology is built upon the Global- Analytical-Global (GAG) or Game-Activity-Game approach, prioritizing player autonomy, problem-solving, and experiential learning. This structured, yet flexible methodology aligns with modern coaching principles by emphasizing dynamic, game-based learning with minimal but purposeful coaching interventions.
Long Term
Player Development
Phoenix FC follows a LTPD model of athlete development that parallels what doctors and psychologists have long used to better understand human development: as a series of distinct stages, from infancy to adulthood.
Medical + Sports
Science
The Medical & Sports Science Plan for Phoenix Football Club (PFC) provides a structured approach to player welfare, injury prevention, rehabilitation,
and performance optimization. This document serves as an oversight framework to ensure
best practices in medical care, sports science,
and return-to-play protocols for all players.
Technology
Integration Plan
Phoenix FC is committed to leveraging technology to enhance player development, coaching efficiency, and overall program quality. By integrating various digital tools, we aim to:
Improve player performance analysis and self-reflection.
Provide structured and accessible coaching resources.
Enhance communication between players, coaches, and parents.
Foster a culture of learning and self-improvement through digital engagement.
Support individualized development plans (IDPs) through data-driven insights.
Connect technology to the Yearly Training Plan (YTP) to ensure continuity and progress.
Player Management
Processes
Phoenix FC is committed to providing a structured Player Management Process that ensures seamless movement through the club’s internal Player Pathway and into external progression environments. This document outlines the club’s approach to player identification, development, movement, assessment, and external opportunities, aligning with our Technical Plan and Organization Player Pathway.
Organizational
Player Pathway
Phoenix FC provides programming for all ages. It starts at U3, leads through grassroots and youth towards adult soccer and currently we are crea4ng partnerships to provide walking soccer for older men and women to stay involved in the sport.
We provide opportunities for grassroots and youth players from Tier 4 (recreational) to Tier 1, 2 and 3 (more and less competitive) and participate fully in opportunities created by EMSA (playing in their leagues) and ASA (Provincial championships for those who qualify).
