We encourage families and spouses to join our programs together, making it a perfect activity for everyone. Embrace the excitement of the game, share memorable moments, and experience the camaraderie that comes from being part of a team.

All participants register individually and indicate their desired team assignment within their registration, if applicable.

PFC Adult Recreational Program

Our Adult Recreational Program (aged 16+) is getting an update to the rules and regulations.

We have adopted a “no-contact” league set-up for the Adult Mixed League. This means that any intentional contact between opposing players will be whistled and a free kick awarded to the other team (incidental contact between players results in a drop ball).

The goal is to reduce the number of fouls, cards, and injuries that accumulate over the course of a season, and mitigate instances of “over-aggressive play” when challenging for the ball. This new rule is aimed to make our Adult Mixed Recreational League more accessible for players of all skill levels and experiences.

Recreational Adult FAQ

Adult Recreational Mixed League: This is a NO-CONTACT league.

  • Program Dates: October - March

    Recreational Adult programs will feature:

    • 1x game per week

  • Teams will compete in our local Phoenix FC league against other Phoenix FC teams within Sherwood Park.

  • Teams will play at Millennium Place in Sherwood Park.

    Sessions run ~55 minutes.

  • Recreational Adult programs play a 6v6 game format.

    (5v5 + Keepers)

  • There is no post-season for the Recreational Adult Programs

  • Teams are provided jerseys from Phoenix FC. Shorts and socks are purchased separately by the player.

    Teams are allowed to purchase and use custom jerseys, but must use Phoenix FC jerseys as an alternate.

    Please ensure your have shinpads and appropriate footwear (non-studded indoor soccer cleats, and plastic-studded outdoor soccer cleats are recommended at this level)

Adult Recreational (16+) - Mixed Tier 4 League

  • This is a Mixed-Gender League!

    • Teams must keep a minimum of two female players on the field at all times during play

    Teams will be organized into groups based on the average age of the players on each team

  • Sunday

  • Min. 12 - Players

    Max. 25 - Players

    Please note: A team can only have 20 players on its bench for a game.

  • $235.00 (Aug. 1 - Aug. 16)

  • $265.00 (Aug. 17 - )

    Players can join teams mid-season, and will have their fees pro-rated for the games remaining in the schedule.

Adult Recreational (16+) - Women’s Tier 4 League

  • This is a Women’s-Only League!

  • Sunday

  • Min. 12 - Players

    Max. 25 - Players
